Hiking tips around Königsleiten

Yodel hiking trail

The Experience Yodelling Hiking Trail starts at the mountain station of the Dorfbahn Königsleiten, the hiking trail passes directly by the Appartementhotel Sonneck. It is a unique experience for young and old! At the stations you have to try to sing the yodels.

  • Juchiza Station: The hike begins with a cry of joy, the Juchiza
  • Cowbell: This large cowbell can be walked on
  • Giant alphorn: An alphorn 3 times as big as usual!
  • Echo Station: Try it out - an echo where there shouldn't be one!
  • Fare of manure: Follow in the footsteps of an alpine farmer as he mucks out the manure
  • Funnel of the Alps: This big funnel raises the volume
  • Cheese mountain: This cheese wheel is made for climbing
  • Leathertrousers: A great viewing platform

Opening hours:
Open in summer and free for all, suitable for buggies. Please note the operating times of the mountain railway. We recommend that you wear warm clothing and hiking boots.

Cosy stop

After a spectacular hiking tour in the hiking areas of Zell, Gerlos, Wald Königsleiten and Krimml, the highlight of every hike follows - a stop in one of the rustic huts. Typical specialities from the region and an impressive view await you. Pure alpine experience!
